Church Purpose Statement

The First Baptist Church is a growing church that seeks to share Jesus Christ and His Gospel with all people through worship, fellowship, and outreach.

Our Covenant

Having been brought by divine grace to receive the Lord Jesus Christ, we acknowledge a special obligation to live a new and holy life, and relying on the aid of our God and Savior, we solemnly and joyfully make this covenant with each other.

We will walk together in Christian love; we will exercise a Christian care and watchfulness over each other and faithfully admonish and help one another as the need may be. We will rejoice in each other's good, and with tenderness and sympathy bear one another's burdens and sorrows. We will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, nor neglect to pray for ourselves and for others. Such as may be under our care, we will endeavor to nurture and instruct in the ways of the Lord. We will seek to win our kindred and acquaintances to Christ.

As stewards of the Lord we will support a faithful evangelical ministry and will seek to preach the gospel to the whole human family. We will endeavor to live correctly in the world, denying all ungodliness and worldly lust, and according to our abilities and opportunities do good to all people. Through life, amidst evil report and good report, we will strive to live to the glory of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Directions To First Baptist Church of Winchester

From The North:
From Rte 93 South, take the Montvale Ave Exit (exit 36 toward Woburn), take right at end of ramp and follow 0.4 miles and turn left at Wendy's on Washington Street, follow 1.9 miles at the 4th set of lights turn left on Mt. Vernon Street. FBC is at the intersection of Washington Streets & Mt Vernon Street.

From Boston:
Rte 93 North take Exit 33 (Fellsway West Rte 28N) Enter rotary and take 2nd left off rotary onto South Border Rd. South Border Rd turns into Mystic Valley Parkway, go straight through lights onto Mt. Vernon St. FBC is on right at the bottom of the hill.
